- Waking up alone in my hotel room at 5.30am.
- Forcing myself to stay in bed until my alarm went off.
- Making myself a cup of tea.
- Informing all of twitter and facebook that it was wedding day. You know, just in case they had forgotten.
- Taking a shower.
- Sipping tea with my sister.
- Sitting cross-legged on the bed while my hairdresser {and friend} Barbara set to work on my bridesmaids.
- Feeling a little lost when I found myself with nothing to do.
- Hugging Eliza Claire.
- Opening a gift from my almost husband.
- Curling Izzy’s hair.
- Gasping at how beautiful the bouquets were when my friend {and florist} Hayley delivered them all to my room.
- Inwardly breathing a sigh of relief when Katy arrived to do my makeup.
- Getting lost in all the comings and goings of the morning.
- Wondering what Mr LA was doing.
- Loving the sight of my Mum in her finery.
- Feeling grateful to those who made me eat something.
- Having my hair done.
- Feeling more than a little star struck when a certain wedding blogger came gliding elegantly into my room.
- Realising it was time to get into my dress.
- Stealing a moment with two of my bridesmaids in the bathroom.
- Stepping out into the hotel room, standing in front of the window as wintery sunlight streamed in and waiting patiently for my Mum to fasten my dress.
- Wondering if it was all real.
- Feeling more beautiful than I have ever felt in my life.
- Admiring my bridesmaids as they readied themselves to leave for the venue.
- Feeling very blessed to have such amazing women in my life and knowing that their love and support extends far beyond the realms of my wedding day.
- Suddenly finding myself alone in my room with Izzy.
- Being aware of how precious the moment was and wondering if she will remember it in years to come.
- Taking a call from my Bonus Dad down in reception.
- Slipping my coat on, taking Izzy’s hand in mine and stepping out into the corridor.
- Feeling like an old Hollywood movie star as I climed into the black Rolls Royce that would take us to the wedding venue.
- Pulling into Pinewood Studios and arriving outside Heatherden Hall.
- Being told to hang back as we were early. I’m always early. For everything.
- Bursting into tears when the registrar asked me to spell my Dad’s name.
- Watching Jesse throw a tantrum on the floor.
- Commenting that this is probably why people wait until AFTER they’re married to have children.
- Linking arms with my Bonus Dad and waiting for our cue.
To be continued…
